Founder's Message
Passing professional exams forever changed the trajectory of my adult life and those qualifications have paid me back over and over again. I will be forever grateful to my parents for setting that path in motion.
We all start our professional qualification journey from either a financial need or a passion. Whatever the driver is, by the end, it is not about the money, it is about the passion and the love of the subjects we have mastered along the way.
Unfortunately, to get to the payback and passion, we all have to pay our dues along the way. The bit in the middle, the pain. The long nights studying, missed nights out with friends and loved ones, missed birthday celebrations, missed family time with the children and the heartbreak of seeing their sad little faces because you are studying again. The uncertainty, the worry, the stress and a sinking feeling of "will I ever get there" and "am I good enough"
Having sat 44 professional exams over many years, I had a 97% first time pass rate, having to only retake 2 exams. Always working full time to pay the bills, time was at a premium so I learnt very quickly many valuable lessons. The most important of these were the golden rules of what to study, who to listen to and how to write easy to understand, low volume, high scoring exam papers.
Those "life skills" are the bedrock and teaching philosophy of Strategic Tutors. I have handpicked the lecture team from former students who not only demonstrated distinction level technical ability but they also mastered the art of controlling the exam and not letting it control you.
