Service Description

The aim of this course is to prepare students for the Chartered Governance Institute Qualifying Programme Part 1 exam in Corporate Governance. The course is delivered by 10 weekly sessions on Wednesdays from 6.00pm to 8.30pm starting on 27th August 2025 and finishing on 5th November 2025. There will be no class on Wednesday 3rd September 2025. The course provides an advanced knowledge and key skills necessary for the company secretary or governance professional to act as chief adviser to the board and other stakeholders on best practice in corporate governance, and as the facilitator for systematic application across a wide range of organisations. Students wishing to also attend the weekend revision classes on 8th & 9th November 2025 can receive an automatic £50 discount when booking both courses at the same time. To do this, please select the "Corporate Governance Plus Revision" option rather than booking the weekend revision course and the 10 week course individually. Course features and resources: 1) Sessions are recorded for you to watch online as many times as you like on our learning management system (LMS); 2) All of our unique learning resources are also available to you on our LMS; 3) Weekly classes are restricted to 15 students to maximise tutor/student engagement. Revision courses are restricted to 25; 4) A guarantee that should you need to resit you can complete the course again for free (T&C apply); 5) For our weekly classes, optional exam question homework is set and marked each week by our tutors. This improves student exam writing style & technique and students are well prepared and there are no surprises on exam day; 6) Qualified lecturers who are current and relevant to the subjects they teach; 7) Additional free AI courses (three 90 minutes sessions) for Governance Professionals; 8) Additional free exam writing and technique courses (three 90 minute sessions).
