IFAI - Mentored (With Jim Skinner)

Course Decription

The aim of this course is to prepare students for the Chartered Governance Institute Qualifying Programme Part 1 exam in Interpreting Financial & Accounting Information. The "Mentored" programme is for students who prefer to self-study at their own pace but at the same time have access to their own private tutor to help them develop their exam technique through marked assignments and to answer any questions that they may have about syllabus content. Students on the "Mentored" programme have access to our archive of live "Interactive" weekly classes and learning resources which focus on key subject areas and most importantly how to pass the exam. Students will have up to 5 hours of 1-2-1 private tuition with their Mentor delivered via Zoom. The student can choose how this time is split in across 15 slots of 20 minutes each. The course develops knowledge of finance and accounting and the ability to use that knowledge to interpret financial and accounting information when providing advice to the board, or a similar decision-making body, in strategy development and/or decision-making. Note: The upcoming sessions listed below are simply the start and end dates of this "Mentored" programme. They are not sessions that you need to attend. Students wishing to also attend the weekend revision "Bootcamp" classes on 14th & 15th November 2026 can receive an automatic £150 discount when booking both courses at the same time. To do this, please select the "IFAI - Mentored (With Jim) + Bootcamp" option rather than booking the "Bootcamp" revision course and the "Mentored" programme separately. Course features and resources: 1) Access to recordings of our live sessions to watch online as many times as you like on our learning management system (LMS); 2) All of our unique learning resources are also available to you on our LMS; 3) Up to 5 hours of 1-2-1 private tuition with a Mentor delivered via Zoom. 4) "Bootcamp" revision courses are restricted to 20 students; 5) A guarantee that after having taken the November 2026 exam, should you need to resit, you can complete the "Mentored" programme again for free (T&C apply); 6) Optional exam question homework is set and marked by our tutors. This improves student exam writing style & technique and students are well prepared and there are no surprises on exam day; and 7) Qualified lecturers who are current and relevant to the subjects they teach.
