Course Decription

Resources The aim of these resources is to prepare students for the Chartered Governance Institute Qualifying Programme Part 1 exam in Interpreting Financial & Accounting Information. The "Resources" package is for students who prefer to self-study at their own pace without the support of a tutor. Students on the "Resources" package have access to the recordings of live "Interactive" weekly classes and learning resources for the previous exam sitting which focus on key subject areas and most importantly how to pass the exam. These recordings and resources develops knowledge of finance and accounting and the ability to use that knowledge to interpret financial and accounting information when providing advice to the board, or a similar decision-making body, in strategy development and/or decision-making. Bootcamp - 2 Day Revision Weekend (With Jim Skinner). The main focus of this course will be exam technique and practice questions. During this course we will also revisit certain key aspects of the syllabus but students attending this course are expected to have a good working knowledge of the syllabus content beforehand. The course is delivered by two full day sessions from 09.00am to 4.30pm on 14th & 15th November 2026. Note: The first and last sessions listed below are simply the start and end dates of this "Resources" package. They are not sessions that you need to attend. Course features and resources: 1) Access to recordings of our live sessions to watch online as many times as you like on our learning management system (LMS); 2) All of our unique learning resources are also available to you on our LMS; 3) "Bootcamp" revision courses are restricted to 20 students; 4) Qualified lecturers who are current and relevant to the subjects they teach.
